Amara Kali (she/they) is dedicated to preserving and inhabiting stories of the bittersweet pursuit of living, as an actor, writer, and researcher.

Her most recent credits include Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun (6th Street Playhouse), Lily in Crumbs from the Table of Joy (Town Hall Theatre), and staged readings at Berkeley Rep Ground Floor and Crowded Fire. She has received training from Florida State / Asolo Conservatory, and holds a B.A. in Gender Studies with a minor in African-American Studies from UCLA.

She loves stone fruit, rollerskating, disco, and spending slow time with loved ones. Sacramento-born & bred. Currently living in Sarasota, FL.
